Get the Meta-comedy mug.A type of low-bar comedy. the type of comedy your grandmother would love but get irritated by. The lowest of lows and the cheesiest of them all. Every joke is the same and every episode is lame. NBC makes the same stupid comedies over and over again by putting up and coming hot comedians on their shows, put them in a boring premise and call it a comedy show. Parks and Recreation, Community, The Office, Outsourced etc etc. What do all these have in common? EVERYTHING. All featured up and coming comedians hot on the rise. Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Azari, Donald glover, Ken Jeung and more. Boring premise makes it funny. Oh Community college isn't supposed to be funny in real life. NEITHER IS MAKING FUCKIN PARKS. They stick a "curse word" in their once in a while to think its keeping its edge but don't get it twisted. Your pastor will still recommend these types of shows for the whole fuckin family to watch. What a disgrace to comedy
Friend: hey did you watch Community last night? troy wanted to move in with Abed but Abed didn't want it because he thought it ruin their friendship. So that got troy mad and he ended their friendship. But towards the end Troy realizes too much of a good thing is bad for you by eating a giant cookie and they become friends again!

Get the Pocket Comedy mug.(No I am not talking comedy by african-american comics) this kind of comedy is born from taboos and subject matter that crosses the line twice. See New York Post taunt that freight-trained Jared Fogle as social justice warriors and snowflakes along with NoBama got pissed when twitter were hashtagging Five Dollar Footlong as implying it's not exactly a sandwich. This kind of humor is the type that can invoke a fist fight when taunted by bullies as you can imply the jokes about genetic attraction, as in hindsight with a recent article showing up it's a bit 'grosser than gross' in hindsight. I employed this kind of humor when engaging Eric Hovind on Creation Science Evangelism back in 2014 where I made a grisly one implying that the megalodon shark was in the water with Noah's Floating Zoo and one of the animals fell in the water when the fin was breaking the surface of the water. Or you can also use the film Carnosaur to illustrate human-dinosaur co-existence really looks like as I coined this "The Corman Retort."
The author of Gulliver's Travels is one of the your examples of black comedy with the piece "A Modest Proposal" as he might had inspired Edgar Allan Poe with his satire output, Holden's Counterpart has tons of black comedy examples as the self-depreciation using the Italian slurs. The Fandom Writer was also my first approach with grim humor with dark horror elements.
