A Telugu insult, for when a person is being caveman-esque or ignorant in some matter, just an idiot. Literally, it means a person who uses a mug (in the bathroom), thus demonstrating their outdated ways.

X : Aa Kiran gadu oka howla gadu, ochindi feminist rally ki ani kuda telvadu vadiki, poyi ammayilaki line vestunadu anta.
Y : Avunu ra, pedda chambu gadu vadu.

Translation:
X : That Kiran guy is an idiot, he doesn't even realize we're at a feminist rally, apparently he's just here to hit on women.
Y : Yeah dude, that guy is a total 'chambu' fellow.
