An alternative system for sexual experience, similar to the base system, but that allows for cumulative counting of successive sexual encounters in an easy-to-understand fashion. 4 A stars is often abbreviated to simply "the four", or in some cases, just "four".

Person 2: I lost count at 17.

Person 1: That girl you took home last night - did you get the 4?
Person 2: No, but I got 3 A*s instead and her number, so I'm happy.

Originally a German saying to express that you or somebody else is doing nothing at the moment, while looking to a permanent direction.
The student actually has to work on his exercises but is doing nothing. The teacher tells him not to stare holes in the air.
