Being rich or powerful is overrated to some people, even if it's not to everybody.

The dork thought everyone else did everything they did in life for show, reputation, control, or power, because she thought that everyone else was as narcissistic as her. She didn't get anything that wasn't a path to power or riches.

Powerful

Powerful and serious are two different things.

The girl had the money in her bank account to try and force the people that didn't respect her to respect her rules/laws, and had the power to make bad things happen to people (via police or even military power), but none of it was going to make her any less silly by nature as a person. People can only change who they are on the outside, no matter how powerful or rich they become.
