Econo as in economy, meaning thrifty management. Normally a wave utilizes all five fingers of the hand. In an econo wave, a person is conserving the number of fingers used in order to give someone just a one-fingered wave (i.e. the middle finger).

Britney: As I was driving down I-95, I saw one of those trash pickup crews on the side of the highway. I wanted to contribute to their effort, so I threw my Mickey D's bag out the window and onto the grass for them. One of the guys saw me and gave me the econo wave.

Get the Econo wavemug. Unlike the casual wave, The Confident Wave is done to a complete stranger and is a 4 part process with coinciding hand gestures and facial expressions that is carried out with such confidence that it assures the stranger that you really do know who they are. If done properly the wave will generally throw off a person's entire day and have them asking the question? "how the hell do I know that person?"
Ben: Hey man, that person you just waved at seems super confused and they keep mumbling to themselves.
John: That's understandable...i just gave them The Confident Wave, they won't recover for a while.

Get the Long wavemug. An Extreme Demon level in the video game Geometry Dash created by a user known as Cyclic and later verified by LSunix, or simply Sunix. The level features a mainly blue theme and a fast playstyle accompanied by flashing lights on sections that have the wave mode, inspired by the level Nine Circles.
The level was initially created in a lighter blue theme with the same manner of flashing lights and fast playstyle meant to rival Poltergeist, another Nine Circles level that was considered the hardest of the type of levels at the time. Shortly after the verification of Bloodbath by Riot, Sonic Wave was buffed significantly, taking on a much darker blue theme, with more detail on certain parts and the addition of several obstacles such as spikes and pillars and narrowing of hallways in the wave sections of the level. Before admitting to the speedhacking of Sonic Wave by Cyclic, he claimed to have "verified" the level. The level was considered to be too difficult to complete and Cyclic was accused of hacking Sonic Wave, to which he would later admit doing.
Both Riot and Sunix would be the two main contenders for the first person to verify Sonic Wave legitimately. Sunix would later assume this title, having taken 18 months to complete the level, making Sonic Wave among the longest levels taken to verify in Geometry Dash history.
