awkward hawk

1) a mystical hawk that descends from the heavens to announce when a situation has become awkward. Commonly found during awkward silences and large gatherings of people attempting to engage socially. Hawk tends to flap its wings and squak so as many people as possible are aware of the awkwardness.

2) crazy man wearing an actual hawk costume. No matter the circumstances, will assuredly make any situation awkward.

hawk

a term commonly used in chicago, gary, and other great lakes cities to refer to the bitterly cold winter winds. the term has three widely accepted origins, with acceptance depending on the local group. 1. the term is derived as a result of similarities between the sound of the screeching winds and wailing screams of the many raptors (ie. hawks) in the region 2. the bitter winds are attributed to chest colds, causing one to "hawk" phlegm during the winter 3. is an abbreviation for "howling-ass wind kills" because of the many homeless people that succumb during the winter

Tony Hawk'd

A term applied when a video game is released year after year with little or no improvements and/or innovations. A more serious form of a mission pack sequel. Comes from how the once popular Tony Hawk series of video games was run into the ground by Activision's greediness. Tony Hawk, and Guitar Hero are already victims, and Call of Duty is on the verge.
Notice how all these games are Activision published.
