The metaphor generally applied to sex using baseball, except towards all things sexting. The bases being:
1st: simple flirting
2nd: a wink
Short-stop: Blatant sexual innuendos

3rd: sexting

*important note: the sexting bases are almost always cumulative and in the same text themselves.

At first it was just simple flirting, then things progressed and we ended up rounding all the sexting bases; thank you picture phone.

In relation to baseball, these terms are used as describing how far someone has gone with someone sexually. 4 F's.

1st Base: French (Makeing-out, french kissing)
2nd Base: Feel (getting felt up, feeling eachothers genitals)
3rd Base: Finger ("fingering", blowjob, handjob ECT)
Home Run: Fuck (AKA: "Going all the way" ie: having sex)
