Lottery Bus

When someone leaves a project quickly and unexpectedly. Typically referring to the risk associated with the tribal knowledge someone has that puts a project or business at risk when they leave the company. Some one would leave if they got hit by a bus (Die) or win the lottery (Not need the Job anymore)

Sue won the lottery bus and will not be back to work. (Not knowing why she is gone)

If John gets hit by the lottery bus we will all be hurting to get this project completed on schedule.

White Person Lottery

White Person Lottery (WPL) is a term used to describe the immense luck a (white) person has when they obtain a large amount of money or property that they never could have earned on their own. In most cases this is through inheritance, but it can also occur through marriage. The term has a very natural sound to it and is used regularly on reddit and other popular internet blogs to describe generally very ungrateful people who are depressed for no obvious reason despite being incredibly lucky to be where they are in life. The natural offshoots of this term are MPL (Mexican Person Lottery), APL (Asian Person Lottery) and BPL (Black Person Lottery).

Guy 1: Why do you think she behaves like that all the time?
Guy 2: Classic example of a White Person Lottery winner. People who have won it have a hard time imagining that others have not won it too.

Guy 1: I feel so lucky to be an American!
Guy 2: You would feel even luckier being a White Person Lottery winner from Iceland with free university and a warm, million dollar house to relax in.

A woman gets quadruple-stuffed by four separate creeds: Black, Asian, White, and Mexican. Wait nine months. After the baby pops out, observe its color and distinctive features. Whichever guy is the father is proclaimed the winner and is exempt from alimony. The other three have to chip in.

"Hey, Henry, you've got an Asian friend, right? We need a fourth for the rainbow lottery tonight."

Happy Lucky Lottery

A lottery minigame in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door that turns out to be a scam. Rather than operating off of luck, the system determines which day you win based on the number of days you bought the ticket. To get a shot at jackpot, you have to wait 335 -395 days to take a chance. Sure, you can speed up the process a bit by changing the GameCube's system clock forward, but turning the clock back rewards you a 500 coin penalty.

Subway lottery

When you go to Subway and tell the people making your sandwich to "Surprise me". The results can vary from delicious and unique to disgusting and nightmarish.

"I'm sick of the same, boring sandwich. Let's play the Subway lottery!"

"I just got a cucumber carrot jalapeno seafood sandwich with sweet onion sauce, vinegar & mayo. Looks like I just lost the Subway lottery."
