Emotron

Smallish depressed man, usually loves emo music and like to tell you about it. Tend to dress in either all black, hipster apparel, or metro sexual. Always bummed about something, typically stupid girls Can not be relied upon for anything.

EmoTrance Kid

Although they are usually just refered to as Emo Kids, Emotrance Kids do not listen to Emo Music. They seem to have the same dyed black made-to-look rough hair, depressingly thin figure, and oh-look-at-me-i'm-so-helpless attitude, but obviously don't relate to any of the homo Emo bands that regular Emo kids listen to. They choose crappy whiny ambient trance music, which often has lyrics which mean nothing, but somehow relate to the supposed pain they are feeling. Often seen wondering aimlessly through a local park in the early morning with a set of headphones on.

They worship such DJ's as Lange, Above and Beyond, AyuTrance (Ayumi Hamasaki), and Matt Darey.

Apparently formed from the aftermath of the mid 90's rave scene.

Emotrocity

A fashion statement in which said person is dressed in all black or emo like attire when one would usually not. (eg. at work or in everyday life)

"Jasmine, you look like you've been to a funeral. You're an absolute Emotrocity"

Emotronica

A portmanteau of emotion and electronica. A term, not a genre, used to label electronic music that has a melodramatic tone to it. It has nothing to do with the emo rock genre, or the emo scene.

Most of Boards of Canada's music could be termed emotronica. I recommend Oirectine and Dawn Chorus, specifically.
