Adjective describing a person's state of mind when they overuse emoticons in a text message or im conversation.

"Check out this text message! Jeez, he must be really emoticonstipated!"

"I like getting texts from my girlfriend, but sometimes she's just so emoticonstipated!"

A planned assassination, targeting the emo population, and scheduled to happen within the next 2 years. The troop behind Operation Emolocaust are none other than the notorious CARECase Units, who call #wowps their home. Emoticons

Emoticons are what predated #Emoji in a lot of chatrooms, messages, emails, and texts years ago. Also many come from Japan like #orz (a stick figure kneeling down.)

They can be used to save text space as #Emoji often will take data/text amount to send, used where you can't send Emoji, and they can also be more complicated, too.

#Kaomoji (Japanese Emoticons) and ASCII (pictures from text and symbols) fall into emoticons sometimes yet it has now today evolved into their own thing, too.

Emmy: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
