Common phrase used by students at Delaware Hayes High School referring to the city of Delaware, Ohio (the Dirty D). The Dirty D phrase, being a term of endearment for most Delaware Hayes Students, has been synonymus with the phrase Dirty D or Die, meaning the life long devotion to the city and school.
