Chart Herm

A person that only has knowledge of a record or track because it is popular with peers or on the charts. These people would have little knowledge of Older or underground favourites. Also unlikely to have any appreciation for lyrics and is therefore spoon-fed with catchy melodies with pointless lyrics.

Chart Music

Music that doesn't make music to get on the charts, but rather according to the charts (statistics) to appeal to a larger audience and become a mindless earworm. These songs have no long-lasting value or quality to them, usually fading away once they've made their record company enough money.

That song was so generic, it was nothing but chart music.

A musical artist who has an unhealthy obsession with always being at the top & would do anything to get their music as high as possible on the charts including doing the most desperate promo & pulling the most fraudulent tactics.

Taylor Swift it's the most chart obsessed person i've heard of she was giving her album for free for buying pizza.
