In Japanese mythology, he is the badass storm God, and brother of Amaterasu (who is also a Goddess). In the mythological lore, he possesses numerous totsuka swords, one of which he used to slay a dragon.
He's also a playable God in the online MOBA game Smite. League players may be led to believe that he is a distant cousin of the windshitter Yasuo based on his theme, gameplay mechanics, and high mobility, but this is an unfounded misconception as there are clear and distinct differences. For instance: a Susano doesn't need 10 deaths to hit their power spike. A Susano will dash through the jungle to strategically deny camps setup vision, whereas a windshitter will aimlessly dash through creeps in the mid lane to somehow put themselves in the worst possible position, and promptly be killed. Yasuo is very likely just a pitiful, inting imitator of the storm God.
