Slowburbia

The ever expanding suburbs - nothing going on... just houses and strip malls... no sense of community, and the night life is gone soon after sundown. It's great to raise a family, but not to be a young adult looking for fun after hours.

I gotta get up to the city, there is nothing going on here in slowburbia.

Sluburb

A residential area formerly filled with McMansions and their owners, now blighted with foreclosures, unoccupied houses, and units converted to Section 8 housing.

Vista TierraMar used to be a nice neighborhood until Ashliegh and Chad couldn't make their balloon payment on their ARM. The bank foreclosed, skeevy renters moved in and now it's turning into a sluburb.

Sawbuck

A noun. A word referring to either a the monetary value of ten dollars, or 10 dollars worth of weed (depending on the quality of weed). Was widely introduced into common slang originally in Chicago in the late 1970’s early 1980’s.

Big Dawg, "Hey zJoe let me hold onto a Sawbuck until I get back on my feet."
