When the Republicans in the US House shutdown part of the US Government, because the US Senate would not pass legislation to delay or eliminate all or parts of the Affordable Care Act. Extreme incompetence applied with extreme arrogance. Shutstorm 2013 is the theme of Jon Stewart's Daily show coverage of the crisis.

In 2010 the Tea Party Candidates ran on a platform of creating millions of jobs. On October 1, 2013 they created Shutstorm 2013 which eliminated over a million jobs, and are well on their way to creating the next depression, if Obama and the Senate does not eliminate the Affordable Care Act.
