An uncontrolled body spazm or convulsion while falling into a deep sleep.

A schwipple is something that happens when you are falling asleep and have an uncontrolled movement of your body.
There are 2 types of a schwipple :1) mini schwipple: when a specific body part twitches. 2) full body schwipple: when you have entire body convulsion.

Carrying or otherwise hauling equipment for your own band.

Mostly done when the band is not (yet?) famous, and thus has to carry equipment for themselves.

It's only called hauling if you have a road crew. Otherwise it's called schlepping.
