Pulling an RBG

An unfortunate maneuver by which an elderly public servant, inspired by a perception that they are uniquely capability of championing their ideological cause, refuses to relinquish their position as they dismiss legitimate concerns about their health. The completion of the maneuver entails the untimely death of the public servant by natural causes, resulting in the partial or total rollback of meaningful reforms, policies, etc., which the person had dedicated their life to establishing.
Joe is pulling an RBG. This dude's gonna be toast by Halloween and then we're really gonna be up shit creek without a paddle.
