Pandering

A manipulative device used by politicians to agree and support the popular view of a particular group or groups of people in order secure their vote. Although the philosophy or interest of this particular politician is not necessarily in tune with that particular group, he or she will appear as though he or she agrees with a particular group, particularly during the election season, in order to win his/her sear.

The interest of particular groups may be somewhat farfetched, including creating Utopia's for them to live in or to achieve the so called "rainbows" and "butterflies" they so want to have. But, if that is what the educated politician has to agree with in order to win on election day, then he/she will do it.

Gullible Citizen: I want the government to help us pay our mortgages, pay for our kids to go to college, and help pay our utility bills.

Politician's mind: This may be pure pandering because there is NO way the government should or can take care of any of those requests; but, i guess I'll have to say "sure thing".

e-pottering

The act of accidentally squandering several hours (or days) on your computer while not doing anything in particular. e.g., YouTubing “just one more” vid, re-filing mp3s, looking up friends of friends of friends on Facebook, wading through MySpace band requests, Tweeting randoms, browsing for the definition of your own name on the Urban Dictionary etc...

The activity distorts the time perception of the e-potterer in such a way that an apparent 1 min of e-pottering time equates to roughly 1.5 Standard Earth Hours (as perceived by partners, friends, family and the fascist time police at your place of work).

Dude 1 - Bro, you look knackered today were you out late partying?
Dude 2 - No such luck man, I was just up until 4am this morning e-pottering.

ponding basin

An open field, usually covered with grass, about the size of a football field or larger that is sunken into the ground ten feet or more from the surrounding land. Some storm drains empty into a ponding basin. They help deal with runoff to prevent flooding. The edges are usually somewhat steep, and if they are high enough, they can be used for sledding.

We flew kites in the ponding basin, even though the ground was a little moist.

Portering

A verb (pronounced "Porter-ing") that describes when a person plays a multi-player video game (such as Halo or Smash Bros.) and sits on the sidelines while the other players fight and kill each other. When only 2 out of all the players fighting are left, the one who took this action tends to win because he did not do anything and angers the other players.

"Freakin' Mike won againg because he was portering the whole time!"

Poop Plundering

There has to be 2 people present in this act. Both he/she butt holes need to be touching each other. butt hole to butt hole.Then both individuals need to shit at the same time, making 2 poops become 1 poop.

One time I ate peanuts before poop plundering and made a nutty mess.

After a long day of poop plundering, Danny and Scott's bum holes were sore.
