An all-girls high school in downtown Portland, OR. Despite being a Catholic school, it is very liberal. Approximately 50% of its students are Catholic - the same percentage as when it was created in 1859. Known for it's hard work load, and for fostering acceptance, leadership, independence and individuality in its students. Its two largest clubs are Theater Club and Sci-fi Fantasy Club. Its downtown location means most girls are comfortable using public transport to get around and are familiar with the city.

While many will automatically sneer at its lack of boys, school spirit and location, it is in truth a fantastic school. It is the only school in the state to win the national Blue Ribbon award for education TWICE and also has a great 6A golf team and a number of other 4A teams. SMA is truly a home for many; it is one of the most economically and ethnically diverse schools in the area because of its location right in the heart of downtown. As to the claims that SMA girls act sluttily around boys, this is untrue. Girls are just more confident and comfortable in their own skin.

A catholic school (though often not apparent) located in historic downtown Annapolis, home of the legendary Saints. Also home to many boozers, stoners, smokers, dippers, and lax players. Considered poor because of low tuition and crappy rented public playing fields it is full of many rich preps that let you know they are rich preps. Known mostly for champion lax teams, men’s and women’s, it also has strong soccer, cross country, and wrestling teams. It is full of some of the most spirited and crazy fans known to start tailgating the day before a game (any game) starts and end several days after (win or loss). The Saints' archrival is the even richer and snottier Severn school. A school full of worthless trust fund babies who have a snowball's chance in hell in beating the Saints in anything. St. Mary's has many drawbacks but is ultimately the best school in the Balto-Annapolis area sending a national record of students to US Service Academies and D1 schools per capita (8 to service academies ('04) and the entire women's lax team, among others, in '05 out of a class of around 140 students). Often imitated rarely duplicated, the real Harvard on the Severn.

With highly educated teachers and the finest cuisine, the young women are given opportunities like no other. Along with the educated teacher, these "saints" are able to meet the a-listers of the world... like Cokie Roberts. After her visit, many girls were heard saying, "Cokie for President" or "Theo Rules". Make fun all you want, but we don't see Cokie speaking at Broughton.

St. Mary's School has known to bring out the finest women in every aspect. They are known for their classy dress,seamless beauty, constant smoking of cigarttes, and endless flow of money. They are girls whom any boy could take home to, meet their mother as well as to meet their bed. Charming boys from Ravenscroft, Broughton, and Woodberry, St. Marys girls, have no problem going to an all girls school saying "We don't need boys we're doing just fine with yours."--- They also have no problem defending themselves after being called a bitch saying things like.... "Excuse me, I go to an all girls private school, I'm aloud to be a stuck up bitch." A good St. Mary's girl would never be caught with out their, St. Mary's ring, perals and sevens.
