Kookaging

Kookaging is a verb, which describes when somebody is listening to songs by the British indie band - The Kooks, continously, for a fairly large amount of time.

The reason verbs like this do not exist for other bands, is because not all bands can be listened to for a long amount of time, without getting boring.

Usually, iTunes is used to Kookage. But Sometimes MP3 players etc. can be used. In most cases, at least 15 or more songs are needed to Kookage.

A true Kookager will try to get his/her hands on every Kooks song avaliable, through any means possible.

Quite often, 'Kookaging' can be used in one's Facebook status.

For many people, Kookaging is a hobby. It's something they like to do when they are feeling down, or why they are feeling up, or... in fact, in any mood.

Andrew had been Kookaging all night long and he only stopped because he had to go out.

Wilbur Kookmeyer, a popular cartoon character from Surfer Magazine. He is the epitome of a kook - can't surf worth a shit and is a complete friendless loser (except for his dog, although you get the impression that his dog thinks he's a kook, too), but loves surfing and thinks of himself as a pro-caliber ripper. Hated by all other surfers and constantly humiliating himself and behaving like, well...a kook.

Huntington Beach is full of kookmeyers, especially all those 30-something dipshits who act like locals but can't really surf worth a shit.

Net Kook

Anyone who posts uniquely strange, preferably incomprehensible articles, or who manifests a persistent, extreme, and somewhat bizarre obsession.

it is important to note the subtle distinction between a net kook, a net cretin, a clueless newbie, troll, or asshole. The newbie, one hopes, can acquire a clue on the installment plan even if he can't afford to buy one for cash. The cretin is merely stupid and/or irritating. The troll is purposely pulling your leg like it got caught in some heavy machinery. The asshole is, well, simply that. But a TRUE net kook has a special fascination derived from his/her/its utter ineffability. Their behavior is irrational, if not downright weird, but they are seldom merely boring.

I tried to follow Gene Ray's writings at timecube.com, but after 30 seconds, I knew I was reading the rantings of a first-class net kook.
