Fake depression

When someone pretends they have depression for attention. They could post things like Bart Simpson crying with a caption saying “pls someone fucking kill me :(“ . A very common way to tell someone is faking it is if they always talk about having “mental breakdowns” or “crying fits” wherever they go. These people are disgusting attention whores so if you come across one just ignore them so they don’t get what they want.

Beth: hey Eloise, how was your night?
Eloise: oh well I was fucking crying my eyes out about the smallest thing. God I’m so sensitive. Why am I still alive.

Fake Depression

Fake Depression is usually common amongst quirky edgy teenagers, primarily girls, who post sad VHS edits of Bart Simpson, or anything related, on their Instagram/Snapchat stories with the caption "pls no one talk to me" or "pls someone just end me" or even "wow this is so me" for attention. While also hurting people who are actually Depressed by making them feel even more bad about themselves and having a harder time to cope with their mental disorder. Fake Depressed teens usually act like this because their parents didn't buy them that new Iphone or they immediately broke up with their new boyfriend/girlfriend after being together for a day, and they think their life is hard.

Jake: Everytime I'm with Emma she looks like she's sad, why does she always act like this? :(

Olivia: Naaah OMEGALUL, that dumbass bitch aint sad, she just has fake depression for attention and clout.
Jake: Aaahh I see, well then fuck that dumbass.

Someone, usually a teenager that usually acts as they have a mental condition, because they think it's cool. You usually can tell when it's fake, if they don't tend to get in their feelings, don't cry or even act sad when they are around you . when they aren't around you, you can tell, because they show it off on their story and they tend to post quotes a lot. Most people that are actually depressed will not post much about their mental symptom called depression.

Fake depression

Someone who claims to have depression but normally has intentions to gain attention and fish for compliments and pity. They act sad and try and look depressed and complain obsessively about how they have it. They also will not accept help because deep down they know that its fake and they want all the attention. These people will also say that they have no friends even if they have many. They also use other people as therapists and never consider other people because they're "too sad" to give a sh*t. I kinda pity people who do this because they dont realise how people with depression really feel therefore mimick them.

Fake Depression is commonly used in online games. The best way to spot someone faking Depression is them Having a sad face on their avatar or just acting depressed. You can see they say "They want to die" and "I have no friends" or "I slit my wrists" or some emo stuff. Yet, they're playing with 7 of their friends. (Out of 9,000). God I hate seeing fake depression. Don't you? It's sad because depression is a really serious mental illness. Don't fake it, please.
