Dudley

A slang term for cannabis in the west midlands. An urban legend states that the first place cannabis truly took root in England was the town of Dudley in the late 16th century. Since then, residents of the west midlands have continued to use the term, particularly in relation to celebrations of the herb on the 20th of April (where the term 420 originated). As a result of this local tradition, the term 'dudley' has been used to refer to 'spliffs' since the at least 2007 - when a group of anthropology students from UCL wrote an autoethnographic study investigating Dudley's autolinguistic term to refer to cannabis.

Dudley Langenegger

Arguably the greatest film producer in cinemagraphic history. Responsible for the buddy cop drama "Hard Heat". A recluse, he is rarely seen outside his beachside mansion.

Dude #1: You'll never guess who I saw the other day.

Dude #1: None other than Dudley Langenegger himself!
Dude #2: No way! What was he doing?
Dude #1: Well, he was wearing a paisley robe, sitting on his verandah, sipping on a green tea, reading the Sunday newspaper, on a Friday! Then he lit his pipe with a flaming 100 dollar bill!

Dudley Boyz

A large wrestling group that originated in Extreme Championship Wrestling. Supposedly a gimmick created by wrestler Raven, the Dudleys were children of fabled wrestler Big Daddy Dudley and all of the ring rats he had slept with in different cities. Eventually Buh Buh Ray, D-Von and Spike made their way to World Wrestling Entertainment while the other "brothers" faded away.

The three Dudleys continued in WWE for years until being released in the summer of 2005. Due to WWE copyrighting the gimmick, neither Bubba Ray (as he was renamed in WWE), D-Von or Spike were allowed to continue use of the names.

Despite having originated in ECW, the Dudley Boyz gimmick died in WWE due to Paul Heyman's fuck up.
