To disassociate yourself from a friend after they have annoyed, offended, or let you down just one too many times.

You didn't come to my birthday or return my calls, therefore you're disfriended.

Requesting to become friends with a person on Facebook who has defriended you in the past in order to defriend them as soon as they accept your request.

I noticed Kimmy defriended me. So I waited a couple weeks, requested to be friends, and when she accepted I gave her the Defriend Shuffle.
