Contrary to what some think, it's actually a very diverse state, in the south you have warm, and in the summer - very hot, weather, desert, plenty of sand and cacti everywhere you look.
In the north, you have forests as far as the eye can see, snow, very cold weather - especially in the winter, and a lot of wildlife.
The heat for the vast majority of the year isn't as bad as people make it out to be, only in July-August is it what people make it out to be all year around.

Matt: I'd never go to Arizona, I can't bear the heat.
Jimi: Go in February then?
Matt: It's still unbearably hot in Feb?
Jimi: Shows what you know.

A state in the union that wants to show everybody up when it comes to being backwards.
Arizona was the last state in the union to ratify a Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The politicians and many of it's people (but not all) said "no!" to an MLK holiday long after every other state had already decided to honor Dr. King. Black athletes and leaders boycotted and the state eventually begrudgingly gave in.
Now, Arizona is once again trying to outdo all the other states and trying to reclaim its crown as the most intolerant, racist, and ass-backwards state by having recently passed SB1070--an unconstitutional, anti-immigrant, anti civil rights, xenophobic law that allows the police to racial profile ANYONE they see fit and it also allows law enforcement to arrest anyone that cannot produce documents that prove their residency/citizenship on the spot. This law has been called the most racist law since the Jim Crow laws of in the deep South. Way to go, Arizona!! You are the U.S. CHAMPION when it comes to staying way behind the rest of the country!!

Man: This SB1070 law is harsh and, ultimately, the police can stop and harass ANYONE they feel like and all they have to say is that they suspected someone of being in the U.S. illegally.
Woman: Sounds like Gestapo tactics to me and we are losing more of our freedoms. Time to boycott Arizona!
Man: That's what I'm saying. I'm boycotting anything from AZ, starting with the Diamondbacks.

Word used to signify defiance. This is seen in the sudden popularity of products with the word 'Arizona' on them. Having nothing to do with immigration necessarily, just opposition to federal government interference. This is used synonymously with 'resistance' and 'states rights'. To be seen with Arizona means you stand with anyone who believes the federal government has become too powerful.
First man to another man wearing 'Arizona' T-shirt.
What do you think of president Obama and Congress?
2nd man - "I like Arizona" "Nuff said"
First man nods.

Arizona is nothing but desert, A US State situated on the Southwest region of the United States and is known to be blazing hot especially during summertime. Arizona is also known to be very beautiful for its beautiful desert scenery including beautiful plains, mountains, cacti scenery, desert sunsets and for its drastic weathers. Arizona is home to Phoenix, a major city in Southern Arizona and 5th most populated in the US, along with its metro area which is one of the fastest growing and more populated in the US and is home to Tucson, one of the Top 100 US cities in terms of population. Arizona is generally a good place to live for those who enjoy the desert and what it offers. A lot of AZ residents are not fans of Arizona's heat, summertime heat especially and it's bipolar ass weather..

The state you should never move to, unless you go to Sedona or Flagstaff. Most people move to Phoenix, where I live, and most wish they were back home, like I do.
Weather: Can't go outside during summer break, heat exhaustion comes very easily while exercising. The months are nice in the winter, but you never get any actual cold or snow. There are some kick-ass monsoons every once in awhile, though.
Crime: Huge crime problems, especially with auto theft.
Education: We're 49th--or is it 50th now?--in education in the U.S.
Drivers: Drivers here are about 100x worse than California drivers; everyone speeds, runs red lights, and you hear ambulances rushing to accidents at least once a day.
Pollution: With virtually no rain or wind, the air is stale and doesn't move, thus trapping huge amounts of pollution in the Phoenix area.
So, if you're planning on moving here, I invite you; if more people are here, then there'll be less people in the nice places where I want to move back to.

Me: Arizona blows; I want to move back to Oregon.
My friend Sharon: Arizona fucking sucks, I'm going back to Chicago.
My mom: I want to live somewhere that actually has trees.
Everyone I know: I'm getting the hell out of here once I can.
My stepdad: I love it here (he's always been a bit odd).
