Amy Winehouse Syndrome is a condition where by the fans of an entertainer make excuses for and consistently applaud
mediocre performances as a mark of courage and or
bravery on the part of the entertainer.
This condition is most prevalent in the
fan base of singer Amy Winehouse, a singer whose excessive drug and alcohol abuse often resulted in embarrassing public performances where the singer could not or would not finish a
live performance. These performance were often followed by fans defending and justifying the singers behavior which further reinforced and contribute to the entertainers behavioral issues.
