They don't actually destroy the root of the problem, though. Most of the times, this leads to cases where young, white males get addicted to these 'memes' by completely overusing them in a desperate attempt to convince themselves that life is funny and that there is nothing seriously wrong with them. In addition to that, the effect of the memes on the consumer becomes weaker over time, so eventually the 'memer' has to find a new way to get his fix, because he's grown immune to the effects of the old meme. This is why in the end, any community you see will eventually be a breeding ground for absolutely disgusting and frankly unfunny memes, stemming from the fact that there's a high demand of fresh new memes, but the people making them are just random losers that can't deal with real life.
