Fake Expert

Fake Experts are highly qualified individuals who don't have relevant expertise to speak about certain issues but do so anyway. Because their qualifications are generally valued, their relevance to an issue can be commonly overlooked.

Uncle Frank: Tucker Carlson said that Vaccines are designed to genetically alter humans into mindless chimpanzees! The damn Communists are gonna use it to take over!
Henry: Damnit Uncle Frank. Just because Tucker Carlson is a newscaster, doesn't mean he's qualified to talk about vaccines! He's a fake expert, and shouldn't be trusted as a reliable news source.

Fake

Fake is a definition for a person who pretends to be something they aren't. Think of a person who acts with the "rainbows and sunshine" personality or "plastic" They'll follow what's "in" instead of being themselves. Example of actions that are fake would be smiling when you aren't actually happy hence in the terms "fake it til you make it." Essentially they're pretending to be till everyone believes it to be.

The opposite terminology would be "real" Real means to be authentic Voicing your own opinion instead of following the crowd is more "real" Example everyone else is wearing red but I like monochrome colors hence I'll wear monochrome.

Examples of culture: The goth culture initially was suppose to be in representation of being different and not fake. Wearing black didn't truly matter but it represented being different then everyone running around with color. To not conform The ideologies was initially to be different from the rest. An outsider. Authentic. Unique. Yourself.

I think a good media reference on this could bee South Parks episode called The Undergrounders where it takes context on the idea of "fake."

Fake Application Friday

When you're unemployed and can't find enough jobs worth applying for to meet your minimum weekly quota to keep receiving unemployment benefits before the weekend. Therefore, on Friday, you apply to jobs that are out of state and/or that you're underqualified for so that you can keep receiving unemployment benefits and still enjoy the weekend as if you were working.

Jamal: "Tyrone, did you find at least 3 jobs worth applying to this week?"

Tyrone: "Nah. I found 1, but it's Fake Application Friday so I'll just apply to these 2 Director level jobs that I know I'll never get so I can at least enjoy the weekend."
