Gear Fear

When you have a large sum of gold, particularly in D & D, but are still scared of losing gear.

Players with gear fear may spend a majority of their time scamming other players and "flipping" in the trade channels rather than playing the game.

I have 65k gold, but won't play ranked "high-roller" mode. Would rather kill noobs in normal mode, so my gear will stay safe! Don't you know I have a severe case of gear fear...

Noob Fear

The feeling of aprehension that some more unexperienced video gamers get. It when you know there are enemies up ahead, and you are afraid and hesitant to proceed.

I can play lots of shooters easily, but for some reason Max Payne gives me noob fear all the time.
