Someone that says love people not places or things when they really mean love them, not people (though she wasn't going to tell anyone that was what she really meant, what kind of sister/wife/coworker/cousin would she be letting people see right through her).
The narcissist wanted people to love her, not each other, but pretended to be everyobe's friend on everyone's side to play them all against each other and keep herself loved and in people's good graces.

That dork on the National Geographic channel show thought her life was far more interesting and colorful than it actually was. Most people aren't narcissistic enough to get on TV and talk at length about their life story, especially not a false life story.

Get the Narcissist spellmug. Someone with narcissistic personality disorder, or NPD.
Contrary to popular belief, these people are not inherently evil. Some narcissists can actually be decent people. The disorder is often demonized due to a lot of abusers having it, but I cannot stress this enough. It is not the disorder itself that made these people abusers. The disorder may have influenced some of their choices, yes, but at the end of the day the decision to abuse someone is up to the person, not the disorder. Narcissists did not choose to have NPD. Not all narcissists are evil.

Person 2: You're a narcissist?
Person 1: Yeah, but that doesn't mean I'm evil. The disorder is wildly stigmatized and I'm trying my best to handle my symptoms better.

/ˈnärsəsəst/
Narcissism is a built up false sense of self that displays a grandiose image. Narcissism usually stems from childhood trauma in order to prevent themselves from getting abused. Because narcissism is a built up false image, narcissistic individuals are disconnected from themselves (the person they were before they surrendered to their insecurities) and have no real personality, therefore have zero remorse and empathy because they are no longer attached to their human identity. Narcissists mirror people and con them into believing they care for them when they are just making their victims fall in love with themselves. They don’t have any love for their victims it’s all about control because once they gain control over you they can use you to feed their grandiosity. They view people as objects that they need to give their false self attention (aka supply) so they can keep up their demonic facade. When they don’t get what they want they start devaluing and abusing their victims in order to keep their false sense of superiority in check. Narcissists have no soul, the only thing they truly care about is the external validation that they gain from how much supply their victims have to offer because without your validation they will have to sit all alone in their shame knowing that they can’t stand their own existence and completely breakdown.
