Found in nearly every engineering related slideshow, this works as a perfect example for resonance, amplitude, wavelength, harmonic motion, unstable process, twisting motion, finite element analysis, CFD simulation, aerodynamics, calculus I, calculus II, calculus III, miscalculation, general relativity, or the meaning of life. A link leading to a video of the wobbling Tacoma Bridge can be added to any presentation to fill out empty space. Sophisticated students may even use it as an academic source in their Master's thesis.

Narrative

If you don't like the narrative, you don't have to listen to, or read it. Just like before 2020, there was a statue for everybody, if you didn't like a statue of a Confederate soldier, you could visit a Martin Luther King statue instead.

People can choose what narrative they listen to, they always could.
