Partho Principle

Pronounced "puh-REH-toh". Not to be confused with the less uncommonly-known "Pareto Principle".

The Partho Principle is the assertion that probability P is equal to one-half (1/2).

It is derived (P = 1/2) from the equation PP are one (PP = 1).

DRIFT PRINCIPLE

The idea that when a system optimizes too fast (for efficiency, engagement, or simplicity), the fidelity of meaning drops and reality starts to feel thinner, flatter, or slightly fake. It’s what happens when everything becomes streamlined but nothing feels grounded anymore.

Shirky Principle

The principle in which institutions, or any organization, will try to preserve the problem to which they are supposed to be the solution.

(In reference to Author Clay Shirky (born 1964), an American writer, consultant and teacher on the social and economic effects of Internet technologies and journalism.)

The IRS is a Shirky Principle organization. It will never attempt to totally get rid of tax evasion, even if it could, because the IRS needs to be maintained for reasons to find tax evasion.
