South Elgin High School

A new high school located in South Elgin, IL. This school is infested with kids of the emo persuasion, as well as many gangsters (also, the ever unpopular wangsters) and slutty "popular" freshmen. There are a few nerds here and there, but do we really care about that? South Elgin is a place where heads are held high with pride and excitement, but most of the time that's just the drugs keeping the students so awake. Being a student or faculty member at South Elgin comes with it's risks, though. We all remember the m80 and the "gang fight" (which sadly never happened) of 2008. SEHS can be a place of warmth and contentment, too. I'm sure I speak for every student when I say that when I look out of the library window and I see those cows grazing on the farm across the field from the track, my heart goes to mush as I awe and take in that sweet, cow-stenchy air. Mm-mm. Other than all of this nonsense, there's really nothing more to say about South Elgin except it might just be the equivalent of a blister or a parent- it just won't go away.

Green Day Elite

Green Day fan who thinks he's better than other Green Day fans because he (or she) was one before they "went mainstream", and is in fact only better than green day poseurs. Many of them dislike the album American Idiot for no reason other than to prove their "anti-mainstreamness". Has and intolerance for new Green Day fans, even if after becoming fans of American Idiot (the rock opera, not just the popular songs) they went back and listened to (and enjoyed) older Green Day music.

That Green Day Elite hates me because the first Green Day album I was a fan of was American Idiot, even though my favorite album is now Kerplunk.

elitist

An actual elitist is someone who treats anyone who is not as rich/strong/popular as him/her like dirt. A pretentious jerk who has no friends and acts like he's important to make himself feel better.

However, this is also a word sometimes used in politics to marginalize a person who actually knows what they are talking about, uses scientific evidence, or who knows how to lead. Rather than elect someone who is the most qualified to run a country, people would rather vote for the person they see drinking a beer on the news, and as a result countries end up with Presidents like George W. Bush.

Person: I think that this candidate has a good plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, he has a lot of scientists backing him up.

Idiot: But is that candidate someone I could have a beer with? I want a candidate who understands the needs of the people.

Person: But shouldn't the people have a leader who cares about real issues and bases their decisions off evidence?

Idiot: Sounds like an elitist to me.
