psychic catfishing

Those fake psychics on Instagram or other social media platforms who DM you and try to convince you that you have all kinds of "spiritual blockages" and charge you an arm and a leg to remove them.
Psychic Catfishing: Those fake psychics on Instagram or other social media platforms who DM you and try to convince you that you have all kinds of "spiritual blockages" and charge you an arm and a leg to remove them.

"Damn, I got psychic catfished! They contacted me saying my dead grandfather was spiritually stuck, and that he wasn't doing okay. And that they can help work to unblock his spirit if I paid more. And I paid more and got scammed.

Another example: "A psychic contacted me on Instagram saying that they could feel my spirit being confused and that I was stuck from being able to move onto to the next spiritual level like getting a new job or increasing my self-confidence. I paid money to have 15 minutes more of her work, and nothing happened. I got psychic catfished!"

Psychic Junky

Psychic Junkies hop from psychic to psychic, tarot reader to tarot reader, astrologer to astrologer, and fortune teller to fortune teller seeking to hear exactly what they want to hear (a confirmation bias). They waste their money to get an endorphin rush without taking responsibility for their own lives. The readings they get rarely help them with the higher purpose of their soul journey, which is why they keep coming back to the same readers.

Term coined by Myret M. Bulgin during her first draft of an unpublished manuscript called Psychic Junkie that won her Nanowrimo in 2021.
Karen’s been to several psychics 100 times this year so far. She must be a psychic junky and suffer from psychic junkyism.

Psychic Junky

Coined from an unpublished manuscript from nanowrimo 2021, a psychic junky hops from fortune teller to fortune teller, psychic to psychic, astrologer to astrologer, medium to medium, and tarot reader to tarot reader or returning repeatedly to the same “fortune-teller” in search of confirmation biases or to deal with unresolved grief often blowing all their money on these “fortune tellers”while neglecting their very real responsibilities like electric bills and rent or mortgage. They very rarely take responsibility for their lives and turn over control to the whims of others.
Karen saw that psychic like 100 times this past year and still owes back rent. She’s a psychic junky.

Psychic Ass Pus

i.e. life force leaking out the back end, waking life devoted to and fixated upon anything that happens below the belt, be it in themselves or others
Although she was long in tooth, she had always allowed for the leakage of the psychic ass pus, reveling in it, and as such it had tainted her children

Psychiatrist

Mental gymnastics you way into tolerating a SHIT life until society can coerce you into breeding more laborers.
Hym "Psychiatrists are seriously the biggest pieces of shit on the planet. You hear the story about that girl in the Netherlands who opted for euthanasia? The Psychiatrist tells her that there is NOTHING MORE they can do for her.... What did they do!? For her, I mean? What did they do? NOTHING. They don't do anything. The people who are in it still need it. The shit religious zealots just want people to do their incest cult so it's good for them. Created desperate that you 'tried to help' so you can shovel them into the church. Get them to kill themselves. All so they don't murder your kids. And then they just do it anyway. It doesn't work. And it doesn't work because you have stubborn egotistical PhDs who want you to be a Npc. Absolute farce. You want to improve the mental health of the country. Hang all the therapists. I GUARANTEE success. Worst fucking people on the planet."

Psychic Sciences

The endeavor to study and quantify extrasensory perception (ESP), telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and psychokinesis under controlled conditions. Think remote viewing experiments for the CIA, Zener card tests, or random number generator influence studies. The field is plagued by the "shyness" of psychic phenomena—they often vanish under strict laboratory scrutiny. It's the science of maybe, where significant but small statistical anomalies are the holy grail, and fraud is the constant nemesis.
Example: "The lab for Psychic Sciences was full of Faraday cages, truly random number generators, and deeply skeptical researchers. Their biggest breakthrough was a subject who could consistently skew results by 0.001% above chance. The science was solid, but the effect was so tiny it was practically philosophical."

Psychic Mechanics Theory

Essentially synonymous with Psionic Mechanics Theory, but often with a slightly softer, more organic or spiritual connotation. Where "psionic" sounds technological, "psychic" might imply a natural, innate human potential. The mechanics might be framed in terms of "energy channels," "vibrations," or "morphogenetic fields" rather than tachyons.
Example: "The new-age healer's Psychic Mechanics Theory described auras as bio-plasmic energy fields, with clairvoyance working by 'resonating' your field with a distant person's to receive impressions. It was a biomechanical metaphor, painting the psychic as a sensitive organic instrument rather than a mental radio transmitter."
