Shly moment has quickly become a monumentally life changing phrase. Coined after the superior high school junior, Ashlyn McMullen, this piece of literary genius has had a large impact on today’s society. This term can be used after an event takes place. The words flow beautifully together to declare the situation as a truly iconic moment. Although there are only two words, this phrase will undoubtedly change our world for the better.

1) Someone who thinks recent results will lead to the same results in the long term.
2) Someone who is focusing on something that just happened rather than the big picture.

3) Someone who's focus is narrow, focusing on the short term rather than the long term.
4) Often used as another term for "Recency bias".

Billy complained that his favorite sports team's season was over after they lost a game several weeks ago, but he was just a prisoner of the moment because they actually ended up winning the Championship.

a moment of sheer awe, of brilliance. often induced by being overwhelmed upon setting sights on a piece of art.

when i entered the gallery yappin' away with my friends, i stopped dead in my tracks. the show was incredible, and the first piece to greet me upon entry was the most exquisite sight i'd ever seen. my chest tightened and solar plexus sucked in, my heart ached. it was definitely a stendhal moment.
