The typical facial and hairstyle features of a butch lesbian. Usual features include short hair, wide face, loose facial musculature, lack of emotional expressiveness, large nose, strong masculine jaw and large mouth.

There is no known research on the cause, whether it is of hormonal origin or from the adoption of habitual facial expressions or some other cause.
