I've heard the phrase "shook up" meaning "shaken up" or "shocked" in American tv series, but I'm not sure it is correct.

Sheila overheard a conversation between her best friends. They said her boyfriend was cheating on her, so she's pretty shook up.

1) When used to describe a person, it is used as an adjective meaning very afraid or scared

2) Can also be used to describe anything thats is simply messed up, not fair, or not right. Often refers to a process or situation.
