ROM hack

ROM hacking is the process of modifying a ROM image (usually of a video game) to alter the game's graphics, dialogue, levels, gameplay, and/or other elements. This is usually done by technically inclined video game fans to breathe new life into a cherished old game, as a creative outlet, or to make essentially new unofficial games using the old game's engine.

Hackerjack

Someone who claims they can fix broken computers, laptops, cars, TVs, microwaves, school buses, VCRs, impacted teeth, gutters, fences, garage doors, plumbing, commercial vehicles, bathtubs, with either using a Estwing Hammer, Chainsaw, Meat Clever, or Jack Hammer while recovering from a bad hangover the night before.

Work Habits:

Usually stumbles into work after a 24 hour raided party that caused them to post bail, and just after watching Jerry Springer, and can do so because they are related to the boss.

TV Shows a Hackerjack likes:

McHales Navy, F-Troop, Jerry Springer, WWF, and COPS (see how many friends are on there)

It's a type person who refuses to listen to expert advise or opinions, and claims to be talented enough to be either a brain surgeon, rocket scientist, rock star, president, or WWF wrestler all at the same time - and is never wrong about anything.

A Hackerjack maybe your next car or bus mechanic that works on your vehicle, but isn't qualified, so he hacks away at it.

Twilight Hack

A common software mod for the wii. By use of a glitch in "Zelda: Twilight Princess," you can play unauthorized homebrew software and illegal copies or backups of wii and gamecube games without having to install a modchip. It also enables you to play games from other regions (ie Japanese games on a US Wii).

Because the hack requires loading a hacked save file, a Wii, a copy of "Zelda: Twilight Princess", and an SD card are required. And it requires a GENUINE copy of the game for WII, no gamecube or pirated versions.

This *does* void the warranty, but only *if* Nintendo finds out.

"Whoa, how'd you play that Japanese game on your American Wii without installing a mod chip?"

"I used the Twilight Hack. Go look it up on Urban Dictionary."

Buddy Hackett

The Buddy Hackett is administered when a male who has not bathed in over three days sticks his hand down his pants, rubs his hand around his balls and chode, and then takes his hand and places it over the mouth and nose of an unsuspecting person.

Our group had been hiking in the Rockies for days last summer and Sarah wouldn't stop complianing the whole time. Towards the end of the trip, I decided to give her the Buddy Hackett.

Kaizo Hack

Super Mario World(for the Super Nintendo), has a program which allows you to edit levels, and different aspects of the game. A Kaizo hack refers to a modified version of the game(KAIZO mario world), that is extremely hard, and usually requires many game-overs, or emulator tools to complete even one level.

Kaizo hacks usually include aspects such as these:
1. Forcing you to do certain things in a level which were normally not necessary in the original Super Mario World
2. Giving you power-ups, JUST to take them away from you to get passed another part
3. Making the time limit low so that the player must complete the level very quickly

The pit of despair by MoltovMarioWorld, is an extreme example of a kaizo hack. Evil Mario World by Danmakufublargel, and Training for kaizo by PostCardmy are other examples.
