You.-A way to address one person in a neutral manner(not in a aggressive or defensive manner, but in a neutral manner). When you use the word 'you' in a sentence you are addressing one person in either a aggressive or defensive manner. By using the word"ya" in a statement you are addressing one person in a neutral manner. The word "ya" can be used to neutralize statements that have an aggressive or defensive tone.
I hope that 'you' didn't lose the shirt I let 'you' borrow. Dam, 'you' spilled fruit punch all over the shirt. I really don't know why I let "ya" borrow my shirt in the first place. (This is an example of a statement that starts off using the word 'you' to address the person in a defensive manner, then the word 'you' is used again to address the person in an aggressive manner, and at the end of this example the word "ya" is used to addresses the person in neutral manner which neutralizes the statement).
