Fake News

I term you hopelessly deploy when a liberal (or even an anti-Trump Republican) has you cornered. It's the Hail Mary of debates. Must be said with crazy hand gestures.
I don't believe you that Trump did anything wrong! That's Fake News!

New Zealand

A country composed of two mainlands and multiple island groups. Stereotypically, kiwis are racist, but that's not always the case, just like every kiwi caring about rugby or the America's Cup.
Person One: Are you excited for the trip to New Zealand?
Person Two: Yes, maybe we should vist the Waitangi Marae while we're there.

Fake News

It USED to mean news that wasn’t real, a completely false narrative.

But today that definition has been twisted into a new definition:

‘Fake News’ - news or statements that don’t paint the picture of YOU in a good light or that don’t measure up to a particular self-image.
It does not refer to News that isn’t true or a lie specifically although it may or may not include truthfulness.

It has been used as a standard attack-phrase against any person or agency that speaks or writes about any matter or event, truth or not, that does not measure up to a person’s desired projected self image. Rather than confronting the conversation, a person will dismiss it with the phrase of ‘Fake News’ and immediately pivot to another topic in order to remove the glaring lights of an unflattering introspection of his actions.

It should not be substituted for the word ‘lie’, although it appears to be currently used as a euphemism for ‘lies’ but in fact it may be hiding actual truths and not lies.

So before getting into a conversation with a person who likes to use that phrase, the definition of that term should be clarified at the beginning so that it may not be used as a cloak to hide behind.
"Wow, so many Fake News stories today. No matter what I do or say, they will not write or speak truth. The Fake News Media is out of control!" - (an actual tweet)

new poor

those with little experience being broke, lacking the savvy and wisdom of professional urban survivalists.
"Damn these new poor, on my spot!" "Hey, you! Back the hell off my turf, one panhandler per corner!"

"Don't let any of those new poor follow you back to CardBoard City or I'll cut ya!"

"Look at the blood on this dumpster edge...hilarious. Had to be from climbin' in. These new poor don't know they ass from a hole in a groun."
