The day marking the anniversary of Marie Antoinette's death by guillotine on October 16, 1793. It is celebrated by the making and consumption of large, elaborate, and ostentatious cakes that are shared with all, especially peasants.

A phrase often used to describe when someone is pregnant (see preggers). "Cake" making reference to the baby, and "oven" meaning belly or womb.
