social duhstancing

Social Context Rube

Someone who fails to grasp how the larger overstructure in one's country is designed to reduce his ability to choose freely and explore the realm of possibility, or someone is totally subject and ignorant to what arguments belie the things being said in conversation.
Johnathan seriously thinks he's going to pick his next place to live from a map, after his city's economy has cycled downward due to policy changes. Even moreso, he has no clue what everybody is really doing for money and the utilities for the next two years. Johnathan is an example of a social context rube.

Example II:

John often finds nothing to think about when he enters the dog park because he finds people throwing random words at each other, and looking off into seemingly nowhere. In response, he just sort of sits there and when he talks, he makes footnotes about what people say, while failing to see the assumptions and arguments being put forth. As a consequence, he takes every assumption thrown at him, being ping-ponged back and forth.

Country Social

Also known as ‘white people social’ or ‘white woman social’ as this type of social interaction is most regularly used between two white women.
Definition:

To be overly nice to someone whom you either actively dislike or just aren’t interested in interacting with, but don’t want to cause a scene and risk disrupting the social order.
-The interaction is extremely disingenuous and is basically an over-the-top version of the basic “hi how are you” “I’m good how bout you”.
-Pet names such as “hun”, “sweet”, “darling” are often used. Interactions are always brief lasting up to 7 back and forth rounds of conversation but usually only 4.
-To an outside observer, this often looks like an interaction between lifelong best friends.
Tiffany: Jane! So nice to see you!! Have you been doing? *huge hug and cheek kisses*

Jane: well howdy, hun! I’ve been great! How are you and the kids?

Tiffany: Everyone is doing great! Jake just graduated from NYU and Lily is pregnant with a baby girl!

Jane: Fantastic! Send them my love!! See you later. *walks away*

John: I had no idea you and Tiffany were so close.

Jane: what? No, I can’t stand that bitch. I was just being country social

Social experiment

Replacing an old building or something people loved about a place, something that didn't actually need a replacement, by convincing people it needed to be replaced because it was outdated is a form of a social experiment. A way to get a group of people to tolerate something they wouldn't otherwise tolerate, something they would resist.
People are always trying to make changes via a social experiment. Change is not always what's best for everyone, and a lot of the time, things end up getting worse before they get worse (and not worse before they get better) when somebody took something that was once good and turned it to bullshit.
