Respect the pause

When a friend is watching a live, pause-able sporting event in a separate location and says he has to pause said event, you must respect the pause and not spoil what has happened until he has confirmed seeing it.

Brad: Dude, did you see that touchdown, that shit was crazy!

Mike: What the fuck asshole, I'm driving home from the store! Respect the pause, man!!!

When you say something and are interrupted by going into labor.

"Hey hubby, do you want milk- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *baby crying* ."
