Yoyo battlers are a small subculture of people who attempt to impress others with their useless yoyo tricks. This usually leads to the opposite effect and thus they constantly fail in making good impressions throughout their life.

Mike (a Yoyo Battler) attempted to woo a girl with what he thought was a cool yoyo trick. He was told to go sit in the corner and face the wall.
