Is a person who identifies as a gay male or a gay female that is new to the lifestyle or has not been actively and openly living the lifestyle for at least a year or more. A person who is openly gay for a year or more, but still has learning to do on actively living and being the lifestyle.

I have been actively and openly gay for 50 years and have lived the lifestyle my entire life with many learning experiences. My girlfriend however, is newly discovered and has lived the lifestyle openly off and on for 6 years and has very little learning experiences, which in turn makes her a faglet
