The Shabbat Effect

Something that happens to Jews that are shomer Shabbat. Essentially, what happens is that because they can’t turn on/off lights on Shabbat, they become very hesitant of doing so during the week, and begin to always hesitate before flipping a light switch

Joseph: **reaches for light switch, then hesitates, then flips it**

Mendel: Why’d you just hesitate to turn on the lights?

Joseph: It’s the Shabbat effect.

An overwhelming feeling a girl gets when she is irresistibly attracted to a man. Just his presence for an extended amount of time will have her head over heels for him.

That Tommy Effect really worked on her. She can't take her eyes off of him.

You and your friends are talking about pizza, and someone else walks in the room who couldn't hear your conversation, and says "Damn, I want some pizza."

When someone else mentions something from a past conversation, without having been a part of it, or overhearing it.
