A waitstaff shift occurring during a late weekday night, ie: Midnight to six a.m. on a Wednesday. Named so because these are the less-desirable (lower-paying) shifts usually worked by the less-desirable (aesthetically-challenged) servers. Term popularized in the movie "Swingers."
There aren't going to be any hot waitresses at the casino tonight; it's the Wednesday night skank shift.
