a slang for distant cousins you never knew existed which mostly only ever show up asking for money when you or your closer cousins win the lottery (or more rarely, at a birthday party).

this slang originated from the pokemon: Diglett, As a joke on how distant cousins seem to "grow from the ground" when someone in your family wins the lottery.

when Dixie Normus won the lottery, the first thing she did was buy a lovely house in Santa Monica, but that was only the beginning of things. Everyone knows that when you get money, people start growing from the soil.
