Get the Super Straight mug.A term used by cis heterosexual individuals when specifying that they will only sexually or romantically pursue another cis person of the opposite gender/sex. Perhaps it is because they only date to marry and want to start a family with who they marry, are religious, or are just sexually attracted to the characteristics and genitals of the opposite sex. However, it comes across as ignorant because
1. when you’re straight it is assumed that you are only attracted to the opposite sex and nobody in everyday society would ridicule you for it.
2. this term is also used as a dog-whistle by people who genuinely hate trans people.

I told him that I identify as super straight and explained how it’s ideal for me to date for marriage and have children. It didn’t go as planned... he said he understood, but he had a shocked and heartbroken expression.

Get the Super Straight mug.Super straight is a “sexuality” that people have come up with meaning that a heterosexual biological man will only date a biological heterosexual woman, or vice versa.
It is transphobic as if you were a man and saw an attractive woman (if you got the chance) you would go out with her but if you then find out she is trans you would not go out with her purely for the fact that that she is trans- which is transphobic.
‘Straight’ means that you would go out with the person of the opposite sex and if you were a man you would go out with women (this includes trans women.) But it is not transphobic to prefer biological women as they can have children and naturally have more feminine features (though transgender people can have the same) - this still means that if you were attracted to a trans woman you would still be attracted to her despite them not biologically being a woman. It becomes transphobic when you will not go out with the person of opposite sex purely because they are transgender.
