The inexplicable ability of an otherwise mathematically-challenged female to transform while shopping into a math whiz who can calculate multiple sale prices and tax in her head.

I was trying to decide which two or three shirts to buy in Macy's when my mathematically-challenged wife went arithmechick on me. She proceeded to calculate aloud that 35% off of the sale price of $39.99 including tax would be less than $90 for all three - and therefore well under the $100 she knew I was planning to spend.
