manner

A term used for internet games. When a player just plays games in a good mannered way and doesn't talk crap or complain. Usually Manner players will always type GG GL HF before games and at the end of the game they will wait for the losing player to type GG before they themselves type it back. (GG GL HF= GooD GamE GooD LucK HavE FuN!)

Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim

Baron Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (June 4, 1867 – January 28, 1951) was the Commander-in-Chief of Finland's Defence Forces, Marshal of Finland, an astute politician and a successful military commander. He was the sixth President of Finland (1944–1946). Mannerheim was born in the Grand Duchy of Finland to a notable Finnish noble family that had migrated during the 17th century to Sweden-Finland from The Netherlands. He started his military career in the Imperial Russian army, becoming the leader of Finnish government forces in the civil war of 1918 and during the Second World War.

United High School Magnet

A magnet school of a few hundred students within the larger United High School. The school's electives are built around engineering. Magnet students are not an even cross section of United High School, however. First, most magnet students are intelligent and know fluent English, a rarity in the city of Laredo. Everyone in magnet also seems to get along well, another uncommon occurrence.

Most Magnet classes are difficult. They are much more difficult than "regular"/"non-magnet" high school courses but are weighted the same as them. There are, of course, classes like ECAD, with their, um, rather unique curriculum and reputation.

Teachers at the magnet have a reputation for being bad ass. They make their class difficult, but in style.

Overall, the whole magnet experience is enjoyable. It is the place to go in Laredo for the best academic program with plenty of fun in it.

Student: An 1850 on the 2400 scale.

Anyone Else: Oh, you must be non-magnet. See, magnet students have harder classes and, thus, lower GPAs but way higher SAT/ACT/AP scores than you.
